First, let me assure you that my album is really fun to listen to - no
matter what you read at rarb! (Now, read the
rarb review - or you won't have the slightest idea what I'm rambling
about in the following paragraphs)
Of course, I have to say that my album is nice. But please listen to
the tracks yourself - like my neighbours did for years while I
was recording the songs. They still talk to me when we meet in the
street (ok, I moved to another place, so maybe their hearts grew
fonder).
Have you ever really counted the words of a
gospel like, say, "Oh Happy Day" - or a song from the charts (pick
any)? You might be surprised how many repetitions of one line
are possible in 3 minutes - without necessarily making the song any
more boring than it is anyway.
In case of gospel you might even be inclined to believe that the
repetetive lyrics add to the excitement of the music...
If you think so, you might like some of my songs - in spite of them
being purposely written to put you in a good mood.
